Belly Dance Level 1

Introductory / Basic / Elementary

For beginners who are new to dance. Absolute basics, body awareness, tips on good posture and helpful hints on how to make the most of your dance at Oasis. We recommend 10 - 20 hours to get the basics.

Belly Dance Level 2

Elementary to Intermediate

Stretch and tone with isolations and articulations of the hips, shoulders, ribs and arms. Fun and easy Middle Eastern dance combinations will also be presented each time and incorporated into a choreography. Prop basics will also be introduced. eg. cane, veil, zill.

Belly Dance Level 3

Intermediate to Advanced

Go deeper into the techniques, styling and cultural awareness.  Regular practice with finger cymbals and veils. 
Discover how to:
Choreograph to your favourite song.
Analyse and map your music. 
Create appropriate moves to capture the mood.
Use features in music like changes of rhythm or maqam, repeats or developments of melody, changes of main instrument, use of lyrics, and so on.....
